Volleyball ACT is seeking Expressions of Interest to lead the ACT teams to the Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships (AYBVC) in Coolangatta, QLD 28-31 March 2022.
Key Generic Role Information
- These are volunteer roles which require all coaches to place the safety and welfare of the athlete above all else.
- Team coaches are required to illustrate a positive image of Volleyball in the ACT at all times while working constructively with fellow coaches and officials.
- The purpose of these roles is to identify, support, organize, develop, coach and mentor VACT athletes to perform to their best abilities at AJBVC in March 2022.
- To apply, you must be an accredited coach and have a current WWVP card for the duration of the program.
- VACT will seek to field representative teams in the Men's and Women's U14, U15 (fours), U16, U17, U18 (pairs).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and performance program for the required age group from 12 October 2021 to 1 April 2022.
- Work with all relative staff and individuals to develop the athletes' skills and maximize performance.
- Commit to and attend most or all training sessions.
- It is an expectation that selected program coaches will attend the following beach volleyball events in addition to weekly squad trainings:
- VACT Junior Beach Development Camp TBD December 2021 @ Lyneham Beach Facility
- ACT Open Beach Volleyball Tournament 12 - 13 March 2022 @ Lyneham Beach Facility
- Communicate effectively with other representative coaches and athletes to resolve any selection, welfare or training/competition issues.
- Follow direction as provided by Volleyball ACT for the duration of the program.
- Attend the Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships in Coolangatta, QLD in the listed competition dates: 28-31 March 2022.
