The ACT Beach Series made a thrilling start to the summer season with its first tournament held on October 19, 2024. The event, which took place under near perfect beach volleyball conditions, saw fierce competition and some spectacular matches.

Results:

Division 1 Women:

• Champions: Mireille Smith & Remy Song (NSW) defeated Chantal Tung & Caitlin Henry (NSW) with scores of 22-20, 23-21 in a nail-biting final.
• 3rd Place: Allana Benson & Lucia Zarak (ACT), Chelsea Cocks & Guilia Crosato (NSW)

Division 1 Men:

• Champions: Charlie Beard & Jay Tregeagle (ACT) triumphed over Daniel Beyner & Cooper Ryan (NSW) with scores of 21-18, 16-21, 15-12.
• 3rd Place: Angus Watson & Sebastian Galindo (NSW), Lewis Jupp & Max Russell-King

Division 2 Women:

• Champions: Sierra Stratton & Anastassia Stauffacher (ACT) defeated Allison Ingalls & Jasmine Cheung (ACT).

Division 2 Men:

• Champions: Aidan Galovic & Ho Huynh (ACT) overcame Ethan Yu & Arvis Altanshagai (NSW).

Upcoming Event:

The excitement continues with Round 2 of the ACT Beach Series scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024. Entries are now open, and the competition is expected to be even more intense as teams vie for top honors.
