Expression of Interest: Board Positions - Financial and Legal Specialists
Volleyball ACT is currently seeking expressions of interest for two strategic board positions: Financial Specialist and Legal Specialist. These roles are crucial to our mission of fostering the growth and sustainability of volleyball in the ACT.
About the Roles
We are looking for experienced professionals with a proven track record in either finance or law, ideally with prior board experience. These positions are not just about offering advice; they involve actively shaping the strategic direction of our organisation.
Key Criteria:
- For the Financial Specialist: A strong background in finance, accounting, or a related field, with CPA or CA certification. Experience in non-profit financial management is highly desirable.
- For the Legal Specialist: Legal qualification with registration on the Roll of Practitioners in an Australian jurisdiction. Experience in governance and compliance, particularly in the non-profit or sports sectors, is preferred.
- Time Commitment: The board meets monthly, with the flexibility to attend meetings remotely. Additional time may be required for specific projects or committees.
