New VACT President elected

Volleyball ACT is pleased to announce Tim Hubbard as their new President. Tim brings to the role strong financial and business skills. He is a passionate local Volleyballer who has been involved with the Volleyball ACT Community as a player, coach, and club committee member.  He has been a member of the board since 2018.

‘I feel privileged to be able to give back to the sport I have played and the wider community I have been part of for over 30 years. I look forward to leading Volleyball ACT and representing our sport at the national level,” said Mr Hubbard.

‘Volleyball in the ACT has been extremely well served over the past 4 years by outgoing President Dan Williams. Dan’s enormous commitment and outstanding leadership cannot be understated. Dan worked behind the scenes to put VACT in a better position nationally and locally and his strive and personality will very much be missed on the board,’ said Mr Hubbard.

Under Tim Hubbard’s leadership, the Volleyball ACT board will develop a new strategic plan and continue implementing Volleyball ACT’s recovery after a COVID impacted year in 2020.  Excitingly, Volleyball ACT board welcomes back both State Team and AVL commitments.  The Board continues to develop venue and facility priorities to meet the ever-growing demand for new players, competitions, and participation opportunities in Volleyball.
